‘La Sirène’ was directed by the Iranian filmmaker Sepideh Farsi and co-produced in Luxembourg (BAC Cinema and the Fabrique d’Images studio) with help from France, Germany, and Belgium.
The Luxembourg government has since commented on the win in press release: “This new award once again recognises the quality of Luxembourgish co-productions, which regularly win international prizes at renowned festivals.”
