The animated film, entitled ‘Le Sommet des Dieux’ (‘The Summit of Gods’), was coproduced by Mélusine Productions. Stéphan Roelants was one of the people working on the project, which is based on a manga of the same title by Jiro Taniguchi and Baku Yumenkakura.
45 people in total worked on the animated film here in Luxembourg over a period of 18 months. The remaining work was completed in France. The premiere took place at last year’s Film Festival in Cannes, while the film made it into Luxembourgish cinemas in September.
After ‘Ernest et Célestine’ in the year 2013, ‘Le Sommet des Dieux’ has now become the second Mélusine Productions film to have been awarded a ‘César’.
