RTL Luxembourg and Film Fund Luxembourg first began their collaboration back in 2011 and have since produced a number of successful series such as “Weemseesdet”, “Come Back”, “Zëmmer fir ze lounen”, “routwäissgro”, the crime drama series “Capitani” and children’s TV offering “Kannativi”.
The new campaign is designed to encourage the development of audiovisual projects broadcast on the national television channel, seeking transmedia or web-series projects, as well as a documentary series. The web series project can be in either Luxembourgish, French, or English, with optional subtitles, while the other projects should be filmed in Luxembourgish with the option for subtitling in French and English. The 2022 appeal resulted in five projects which are currently in development, including the historical crime series “Marginal”, written by Frédéric Zeimet, Jonathan Becker and Katia Lanero Zamora. Filming is due to start in March 2024, directed by Loïc Tanson and produced by Samsa Film.
