Very few fans must have expected these news: in August, the fifth episode of the vampire series Twilight will be released. The first novel of the saga hit bookshelves in 2005 and generated immense successes, much to the surprise of the US American author, with more than 70 million copies sold.
Stephanie Meyer came up with a special treat for her fan community. A mysterious countdown that had appeared on the writer’s home page is now known to announce the arrival of a new book in August.
“Midnight Sun” will however not extend the story of the saga, but merely recount the events of the first book from the perspective of Edward Cullen, the attractive vampire that already won over millions of hearts.
The author emphasised she was aware of the difficult times still ahead, but expressed her hopes that her book might help people distract from the troubles of the moment.
