Melissa welcomed Luxembourg City Film Festival selection committee member Duncan Roberts on The Home Stretch.

The red carpet was rolled out in the RTL Today Radio studio, as Melissa Dalton welcomed Duncan Roberts to The Home Stretch to chat about the programme of the 2023 Luxembourg City Film Festival, the selection process and more.

The Luxembourg City Film Festival has been the Grand Duchy's premier film event for 13 years, and with all the exciting events on the programme, it's not hard to see why.

The 2023 edition will take place from March 2 to 12, with screenings at cinemas and cultural venues around the capital.

Duncan is one of just 9 members on the selection committee, and while he's only been one of the selected few since 2016, he boasts quite the cinematic CV, having been a founding member of the Cinénygma Lux International film festival, as well as a jury member for both the Luxembourg FilmPraïs and the LuxFilmFest.

Duncan told Melissa that in addition to the traditional events such as workshops, masterclasses and live Q&A sessions, this year the Luxembourg City Film Festival will launch their all new Late Night Bizarre by Kinepolis.  The Late Night Bizarre will be screening films that may require more of an acquired taste at a later than usual time.

The 13th edition of the Luxembourg City Film Festival has a jam-packed programme, which you can discover by listening to the complete chat between Duncan and Melissa or via the festival website. While you're there you can learn more about the films and where you can buy your tickets for your favourite screenings.

If you're curious to know the staggering number of films that Duncan (and the rest of the selection committee) watched to prepare for the event, make sure to listen to the full interview here on RTL Play or via the player below.
