To accompany its members in their travels in a context that remains unsettled, ACL is now offering a digital travel insurance - which can be subscribed online, but also at the counter - in collaboration with Bâloise Assurances. An insurance policy that makes perfect sense in these times!

Marc Barnich, can you present us the new insurance in a few words?
The purpose of this insurance is to provide a flexible and competitive offer to ACL members. It can be adapted to their needs: whether for a defined period of time or on an annual basis, ACL members can subscribe at any time and for the period they wish. In addition to this time flexibility, this offer allows members to choose the appropriate coverages in a versatile manner; they can choose between travel cancellation insurance and luggage insurance or combine both.
What is the added value of this partnership?
We built this offer together with Bâloise Assurances, combining our expertise. With ACL’s knowledge of its members and their needs, and Bâloise’s expertise in insurance and innovation, it was a perfect synergy.
Can you tell us more about the digital aspect?
ACL is convinced of the importance of transforming itself in order to keep pace with the changing needs of its members, and even exceed them, by offering this type of digital insurance. We therefore offer our insurance directly online, on the assurances.acl.lu website, and thanks to this digital platform, ACL members can subscribe to this insurance 24/7 in just a few clicks. We have always been able to take advantage of the major technological revolutions to offer services and products that are more mobile and better adapted to the changing environment in which we live, and this new offer is part of that. However, for those who wish, it can of course also be subscribed to at the ACL offices in Bertrange, where we are happy to welcome you from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Why is this new service innovative and interesting for an ACL member?
We have focused on the convenience, flexibility and quality of this offer. Going on holiday should be synonymous with pleasure and relaxation. That’s why we wanted to make it as easy as possible to subscribe to our travel insurance, which can be done in just a few clicks. For claims, all you have to do is complete the editable document on the home page of the new assurances.acl.lu website. Security does not exclude simplicity!
And what does this product cover?
It is a flexible product: ACL members can subscribe to a cancellation and/or luggage insurance, either for a certain period (for one trip) or on an annual basis (for all trips of the year). The cancellation insurance covers members in case of illness, dismissal, promotion, separation or divorce up to €50,000. In addition, the insurance covers them in case of cancellation or interruption of the trip due to a pandemic disease, including Covid19. The luggage insurance covers the loss of suitcases, cameras and sports equipment up to €3,500 when travelling. We also offer the possibility of insuring up to 8 people in the contract. Another interesting aspect is that the customer receives his or her insurance certificate in PDF format immediately upon signing up online.
