The Covid-19 measures laid down in the law from 17 July were initially planned to remain in effect until the end of September. They are now being extended until the end of the year.

This decision was taken by the State council. The measures in question deal with the number of people allowed in certain places, where face masks are mandatory, and which code of conduct and opening hours apply to the Horesca sector.

In order to make tracing more efficient, people entering the country via plane will also have to fill in a localisation form, which will automatically be transferred to the National Health Directorate.

Other amendments aim at improving the definitions of "face mask" and of people exempt from the obligation to wear a mask due to medical reasons. Details on these specific points have not been revealed yet.
