Shortly before 1am, a group of three approached a person waiting for the bus at Badanstalt station and demanded that they hand over a pair of headphones. When the person refused, the muggers snatched their sports bag and fled the scene. The police opened an investigation into the mugging.
A group of four managed to steal two mobile phones in Route d'Esch in Gasperich. They did so by engaging their victims in a conversation while simultaneously snatching the phones. The police opened an investigation into the theft.
The police further report three revoked driving licenses due to excessive alcohol consumption: in Route d'Esch in Gasperich, in Route d'Esch in Kayl, and in Rue de Michelbouch in Mertzig. The driver in the latter incident drove his car into a wall on private property, seriously damaging his vehicle in the process. He then tried to escape on foot, but was identified soon after.
