The latest figures from Luxembourg show that 143 new cases of coronavirus were discovered over the last 72 hours.

Monday's update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures on the weekend.

Of the 143 new cases, seven were reported on Sunday.

Two new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, leaving the total death toll in the Grand Duchy at 832.

9,310 tests were conducted in total over the last 72 hours, with 220 tests in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for yesterday was 3.18%.

There are 29 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, up ten from Friday's update, with ten patients in intensive care (up one).

As of Sunday, there were 1,053 active infections in Luxembourg, while 74,360 people have recovered from the virus.

409,351 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 767,613 doses have been administered in total. 394,240 people have been fully vaccinated as of the latest update.

As of yesterday, the R rate is at 1.03.
