On Tuesday, Minister for Home Affairs Taina Bofferding honoured 150 firefighters, as well as administrative and technical staff members from the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) for their commitment to the well-being of the country's population.
The ceremony was held at the European Convention Center in Kirchberg where Minister Bofferding awarded different medals to the professional and volunteer CGDIS workers.
CGDIS directer Paul Schroeder used the opportunity to stress the importance of the ceremony, which was only introduced in 2020 and held in physical form for a first time.
