The principles of democracy and social life should not be forgotten during the ongoing crisis.
The "Confédération générale de la fonction publique" warned the administration in a letter that officials are heading in a dangerous direction. The confederation of civil servants explained that communication needs to be improved and pandemic laws should no longer be allowed to disrupt the freedoms of trade unions.
The confederation demanded a meeting with the state administration as they feel that a number of basic rights could be under threat in the near future. CGFP further criticised the inherent ambiguity of some of the new laws and the fact that the trade unions had not been included in the discussions about the exit strategy.
