Three people who were arrested during a demonstration against the coronavirus measures in January 2022 have been sentenced so far, according to Minister of Justice Sam Tanson.

On 15 January 2022, a group of 350 protestors was encircled between the central railway station and Place de Paris and had to identify themselves before they were allowed to leave the area.

30 people were arrested. 16 cases were brought to court, among other reasons due to the use of violence against police officers.

In her reply to a parliamentary question by MP Fernand Kartheiser from the Alternative Democratic Reform Party (adr), Minister of Justice Sam Tanson stated that the public prosecutor's office has received nine police reports related to this demonstration.

All nine cases have been brought to court and verdicts have been issued in three of them thus far.
