The police have identified a man who is suspected of having illegally dumped rubbish in the woods.

The police announced on Tuesday that there have been new developments in a case of flying-tipping in a forest between Roodt/Ell and Colpach-Haut. Between late May and early June, household waste had been dumped over a length of about 25 metres. The waste included furniture and a fridge, among other things.

In a witness appeal published in early June, the police stated that the culprit had purposefully wiped personal data featured on some objects.

On Monday, the police were able to identify a suspect in collaboration with the municipality of Ell and under the direction of the public prosecutor's office in Diekirch. Police officers approached the man on Monday and interrogated him about the incident. A complaint was filed.
