Sunday’s annual BLC kid’s Easter event attracted a multitude of children, despite the inclement weather!
If you happened to be walking through Parc Strassen on Sunday morning, it would have been difficult to miss the throngs of excited children scouring the grounds for Easter eggs. Dressed in wellies and with winter jackets zipped up tight against the torrential rain and icy wind, these intrepid youngsters braved the elements and enjoyed a comprehensive program of activities catering to all ages.
From egg and spoon races to face painting and crafts, all efforts were rewarded with chocolate treats, gummy bears, rice crispy cakes and goody bags to enjoy at home. Tremendous fun was had by all and one parent summed up the event’s popularity nicely: “This is one of the highlights of our daughter’s year, and nothing could have prevented her from taking part!”
Georgina and Amy, the BLC Parents & Children’s Coordinators, organised the event seamlessly. Tickets sold out very quickly in deed, so make a note in next year’s diary to book yours well in advance.
