British sprinter Mark Cavendish will take part in this year's edition of the Tour de Luxembourg, the organisers announced over the weekend.
Belgian rider Philippe Gilbert will also feature in the five-day event, which begins on Tuesday 15 September in the capital.
Hailing from the Isle of Man, Cavendish is considered to be one of the best sprinters in cycling history and has won 30 Tour de France stages, placing him second in the all-time list behind Eddy Merckx.
Cavendish, 35, was not selected for the Tour de France in either 2019 or 2020. He currently rides for the Bahrain-Mclaren team.
