More good news from the 2019 Swimming World Championships. Luxembourg swimmer Julie Meynen posted a new record time in the 100 metre crawl, improving her own record from a month ago in the process. She swam a time of 54.44 seconds, beating her previous record of 54.49, but narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo.
She came 17th out of 93 competitors. The first 16 qualified for the semi finals.
