At the WTA tournament in Eastbourne, Luxembourgish tennis player Mandy Minella had to give up during the second set of her qualification match against Jessica Peluga. The reason: a strained muscle.

The qualification matches for the main draw at the WTA tournamen in Eastbourne, England, started on Friday. In the first round, Mandy Minella (WTA-96) won in three sets with 2:6, 7:5 and 6:2 against Autralian athlete Astra Sharma (WTA-88). On Saturday, however, the Luxembourger had to abandon the tournament during the second qualification round. Following a 2:6 in the first set against Jessica Peluga, Mandy Minella gave up because of a light strain injury.
