The deciding match took place this Sunday morning: by beating Finland 3:2, Luxembourg secured the second place in the league table and qualified for the European championships.

The men's team has now also qualified for the European table tennis championships which are taking place in Nantes this September. The women's team already qualified in December.

The second round of qualification matches took place this weekend: Luxembourg won 3:2 against Bulgaria before losing 2:3 against Turkey. A victory was hence absolutely necessary this Sunday morning.

Luxembourg did not disappoint, as it scored a victorious 3:2 in the final match against Finland.
