The 13th edition of the winter charity run in Redange/Attert took place on Sunday. The charity run brought in funds for the Télévie initiative and for people affected by trisomy 21, down syndrome.
As per tradition, the athletes met on the first Sunday of the new year in Redange/Attert at the local secondary school Atert Lycée.
The local marching band "Nojemer Musek" convened at the site of the former train station and provided the musical backdrop for the 1,500 runners.
Even though the small town of Nagem, which is part of the Redange/Attert commune, only has about 300 inhabitants, no less than 73 of them performed in the marching band on Sunday.
72 runners in this year' addition are currently also enrolled at the Atert Lycée. However, they will have found no trace of yesterday's event today as a special organisation committee joined forces yesterday in order to get the school tidy and clean before pupils returned on Monday morning.
