The fans turned up in droves to watch the semi-final between Croatia and England in Luxembourg City Wednesday night.

Trailing on the scoreboard for over an hour, the Croatians displayed an iron will to get back into the game.

Ivan Perišićgave new hope to his supporters by scoring with great style in the 68th minute. After that, the game went increasingly in Croatia's favour.

The English team was showing its fine qualities, but it was not enough against this team that never stopped believing.

It was Mario Mandžukić, at last, who took the game for his team-mates by scoring after seizing an opportunity in second half extra time (109th minute).

England will have some regrets as it had scored after 5 minutes and because its captain Harry Kane had missed two big chances to decide the game in the first half.

So the Croats will face France in the final on Sunday. The English will take on the Belgians again, this time over who will take third place.
