Police were alerted to a suspicious parcel at the train station in Metz. The intervention took no less than an hour.

The communication service of the Moselle police confirmed that a security perimeter was set up in front of the central station in Metz on Monday morning. A suspicious parcel had been discovered around 11 am. The entire police operation took around one hour.

The operation did not impact train traffic. Travelers were merely forced to bypass the main entrance of the station and trains stopped at Place du Général de Gaulle. The situation went back to normal around noon.
