Between December 10, 2022 and December 31, 2023, the police carried out 1.775 transports from the Uerschterhaff Correctional Centre (CPU).

The police clarified that the majority of transports were carried out in order to transport detainees to their court appointments. This was the case for 1,459. Other transports were conducted to take detainees to doctors appointments or hospital visits.

The transports were adapted in order to minimise the amount of time spent in traffic jams. The primary goal of the transports was to ensure the safety of the transporters. The transport operations were carried out by the Surveillance and Operational Support Unit of the Police (UGAO).

Prisoner transports also take place between the prison in Schrassig and the courts. However, the number of these transports is significantly lower than those between the CPU and the courts.
