A substantial construction effort along the A3 motorway is underway this weekend, as part of an ongoing expansion project between the Gasperich and Bettembourg intersections.
Starting at 8pm on Friday, extensive construction efforts necessitated the complete closure of the A3 motorway in both directions. This closure will remain in effect until 6am on Monday.
These works will impact access ramps leading to Croix de Bettembourg from the A13 motorway, as well as the Livange interchange connecting the N31 to the A3.

Notable projects currently underway include the installation of a new bridge, positioned just before the Berchem service station in the direction of Dudelange. Additionally, a tunnel is being excavated underneath the motorway between the two service stations.

Traffic between Croix de Bettembourg and Croix de Gasperich will be diverted in both directions via the A13, A4, and A6 motorways.
The overarching goal of these construction works is to expand both sides of the A3 motorway to three lanes.
During this period of construction, service stations at the Berchem service area will remain inaccessible to travellers.
