
According to data collected by the Central Bank of Luxembourg, fixed and variable mortgage rates have inverted this spring.
On the one hand, the fixed rate fell from 3.93% in March to 3.89% in April following a rapid rise in recent months. On the other hand, the variable rate has risen above the fixed rate for the first time since 2021. The average variable rate granted to borrowers was estimated at 4.11%.
The interest rate on short-term consumer loans signed for less than five years was calculated at 4.31% in April.
