Emergency services in Luxembourg faced a demanding afternoon on Friday, as a series of road accidents unfolded across the country. Within a span of just four hours, nine people sustained injuries in various incidents.
The most severe incident occurred around 4.35pm in Windhof, situated between Capellen and Steinfort. Two cars collided, leading to the intervention of emergency services from Luxembourg, Mamer, Steinfort, and Kahler. Four occupants were attended to at the scene.
An hour earlier, at approximately 3.25pm, a vehicle veered off the road near the church roundabout in Walferdange on the N7. The driver inexplicably lost control of the car, causing it to overturn on the central island of the roundabout. The injured driver was promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Around 1pm, a lorry and a car collided on the RN31 near the A3 motorway bridge connecting Livange and Bettembourg. Emergency services from Roeser, Bettembourg, Dudelange, and Luxembourg City attended the scene, providing treatment to three injured individuals involved in the accident.
At the same time, on the RN26 between Wiltz and Nothum, two cars collided, leaving one person injured.
