Officers arriving on the scene of a burglary in Wilwerwiltz on Thursday were able to catch the perpetrator in the act.
Police were notified of a break-in on the road "a Millefeld" at around 3.35pm on Thursday. When officers arrived at the property, they found the burglar still at the scene, attempting to remove valuable items. The invader had broken a basement window in order to gain access to the house.
The public prosecutor ordered the man's arrest and he was brought before magistrates on Friday.
As part of a surrounding search, another police patrol located two people - a man and a woman - acting suspiciously at Wilwerwiltz station. A complaint was filed against both and an investigation launched.
