A man was found with serious stab wounds on Wednesday evening in Pétange. The police arrested four suspects.
It was an eventful evening for the Pétange police on Wednesday. Officers were dispatched to Place du Marché following a violent altercation in front of a bar.
According to the police bulletin, patrols discovered a man with serious knife wounds. The man had several cuts and was given first aid by police officers before being taken care of by the emergency services.
The police then launched a manhunt for the attackers, who had fled in a vehicle. Several patrols were sent out and found the suspects, who tried to run away from the police. The driver did not hesitate to "take risks" to escape the authorities, according to the bulletin.
Their escape finally ended near the construction site on Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Esch-sur-Alzette. The suspects tried to escape on foot but were apprehended.
The public prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of the four individuals. They were presented to an examining magistrate on Thursday morning.
