Europe's leading cargo airline has announced a change in the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Christianne Wickler will step down from her position "to devote more of her time to her business activities," according to a press release issued by Cargolux.

Tom Weisgerber has been proposed as her successor. The senior government advisor in the Ministry of Mobility was already a member of the aforementioned board and also sits on various other boards in the transport sector.

Christianne Wickler took over as president of Cargolux in April 2021, following the death of Paul Helminger. She had previously served as a Green Party MP from October 2013 to July 2014.
