Starting Monday 27 March, traffic will once again be able to flow in both directions of the bridge, though an alternating system will be set up according to morning rush hour.
At present, the bridge is completely shut in the direction of Luxembourg due to construction work and this has led to complications and frustrations in cross-border traffic.
According to a statement from the Ministry for Mobility and Public Works, Luxembourgish and German authorities have closely worked together over the past couple of days to come up with a solution that would improve traffic flow at the border.
As of 27 March, the bridge will therefore be open in the direction of Luxembourg between 6am and 10am. After a break of 10-15 minutes, traffic will then again be allowed to go in the opposite direction.
