Police arrested a man on Wednesday afternoon after he harassed several women in a bakery and physically attacked a social worker.

At 4.20pm, police received reports of a man displaying unsociable behaviour in the area around the Royal Hamilius in Luxembourg City. The intoxicated individual had been harassing women in a bakery some social workers intervened. He then became physically aggressive, attacking one of them.

When officers arrived at the scene, the man tried to resist arrest and continued to act in an aggressive manner. He was taken into custody and offered a medical check, as he was deemed to be a danger to himself and others. A complaint was registered with the public prosecutor's office.
