Police were called out to a bistro in Pétange on Thursday afternoon after an intoxicated individual threatened employees.

According to reports, the man had physically attacked one of the bistro staff who had tried to stop him from serving himself. He had also consumed drinks without paying for them, before being kicked out by the owner.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the man hitting parked cars outside the restaurant and shouting. Officers attempted to apprehend him, but he became aggressive, hurling death threats and insults at those nearby. Once in the police car, he continued to threaten and spit at the police.

Officers drove him to hospital for checks, then placed the man under arrest.
