On 17 November, Luxembourg's retailers banded together to form the 'Luxembourg Retail Federation', an organisation designed to foster innovation and fruitful exchanges between traders in the Grand Duchy.

The Luxembourg Retail Federation is part of the Confederation of Commerce (CLC) and has 23 founding members of different backgrounds. The Federation represents both small and large retailers.

Entrepreneur Robert Goeres, who took over a family business in 1998, has been named first president of the newly founded organisation. Goeres has been an active CLC member for over 20 years.
