The police recently conducted checks as part of the Winter Road Safety Campaign in Diekirch, Ettelbruck, Brouch, Bridel, Bereldange, and Dommeldange.

During these checks, which took place on 14, 15, 17, and 21 November, the police officers inspected, among other things, vehicle lights, tyres, and the general technical condition of the vehicles.

In total, 15 reports were drawn up for non-compliance with one of the above-mentioned elements. A total of 100 offences were recorded, including 32 motorists who did not have a valid tax sticker and 36 who were in violation of the regulations requiring frequent roadworthiness checks.

The police will continue to conduct these checks throughout the country until the end of December 2022.
