The town of Ettelbruck is known as a farming town in Luxembourg since both the Agriculture Administration and Agriculture School are located there as well. The first ever agricultural exhibition was inaugurated on 29 May 1883 in the presence of King William III and Queen Emma. Since then the exhibition has been organized regularly with the town of Ettelbruck taking over the FAE in 1983 and transforming it to the event it is known for today.
