This weekend, petrol prices will reach record highs in the Grand Duchy.

Overnight from Friday to Saturday, petrol prices for SP95 will jump up by 3 cents, rising to €1.527 per litre. This represents a new record in Luxembourg, after the previous record was set on 11 November when the price hit €1.526.
Diesel costs will stay unchanged, at an historic high, as well as SP98, at €1.44 and €1.594 respectively.

Despite a downturn in early December, the oil market has followed an upward trend for the last two months. Brent crude oil is currently trading at more than $91.
