After three years of negotiations, the OGBL and LCGB unions signed a new collective labour agreement for commune employees with 19 southern Luxembourg municipalities on Thursday.

The agreement will cover staff management and work organisation, as well as improvements to salaries, working conditions, and entry procedures for both employees and the municipalities.

The accords were signed by the municipal administrations of Bettembourg, Contern, Differdange, Dippach, Dudelange, Esch-sur-Alzette, Garnich, Habscht, Käerjeng, Kayl / Tétange, Koerich, Mondercange, Pétange, Reckange-sur-Mess, Roeser, Rumelange, Sanem, Schifflange and Steinfort. The municipality of Remich will also apply the agreement to their practices.
