People above the age of 19 will have to comply with the 2G rule. Exceptions are only made for professional athletes, who may still follow the 3G system.

Amateur athletes older than 19 will thus have to be either vaccinated or have recovered from Covid.

Professional athletes can still fall back on certified rapid tests or PCR tests, a rule which is also in place for young athletes between the age of 12 and 18. There will be no changes for children below the age of 12.

Groups with fewer than ten people can continue exercising together without having to follow any restrictions, Minister of Sport Dan Kersch underlined in an interview with RTL.
