The new measure is scheduled to start at the beginning of the new year.

Though only 500 people live in the municipality, Saeul regularly experiences heavy traffic flow with up to 3,700 vehicles coming through each day. More and more vans are also using the municipality as a transit road.

Officials from the Ministry for Mobility and Public Works are currently looking at ways to increase safety in Saeul. Minister François Bausch provided this information in his response to a parliamentary enquiry, filed by MP André Bauler from the Democratic Party. A stretch on the road between Reckange and Saeul will therefore receive a new limit of 30 km/h.
