The accident occurred around 6 p.m. in rue d'Audun.

The responsible driver came from the direction of France and was unable to get his vehicle to a standstill before hitting the pedestrian. The woman, who was crossing the road at the time of the incident, was subsequently taken to hospital in Esch-sur-Alzette.

She suffered injuries during the accident, none of which were life-threatening.
