The gravely injured person was immediately taken to hospital.
On Wednesday morning at around 9:45AM, a 12-metre tall and several-ton heavy scaffolding was being erected on a construction site in the rue Arthur Thinnes in Mondercange using a crane. When the scaffolding collapsed two workers were working on it. Both were hit by a metal bar.
Other workers who were on site were able to get themselves to safety. Both injured workers were immediately taken to hospital.
The public prosecutor’s office and the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM) were duly informed. Police and ITM representatives arrived at the scene of the accident shortly after.
