The 2020 season of the Minett Park open-air museum in southern Luxembourg has been extended after the pandemic wreaked havoc on its activities.

All of the park's scheduled events were cancelled in the spring and its historic trains have been out of service since 1 May.

In order to compensate for the lost time, the park administration has decided to prolong its current season. The mining train "Minièresbunn" and the "Train 1900" will be operational on multiple Sundays in October.

The "Train 1900" will run on Sundays 4 and 11 October, with three departures from Pétange to Fond-de-Gras at 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm. Tickets must be bought in advance on the website Luxembourg-ticket.lu.

As for the "Minièresbunn" mining train, it will run every Sunday in October, on the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th, with two departures from Fond-de-Gras to Lasauvage at 3 pm and 4.15 pm. Tickets can be bought on site.

For those favouring physical activity, the park will also offer trolley rides on 4 and 11 October, departing from the Fond-de-Gras. Tickets can be bought on site.

All timetables are available on the park's website www.minettpark.lu.
