ABBL and KPMG took it upon themselves to investigate the wider impacts of the corona crisis on the financial sector.

According to the survey findings, which included 43 financial institutions in total, banks are prepared if a second infection wave hits the Grand Duchy. 30 questions surrounding the impacts of the pandemic were asked over the course of the study.

The poll moreover reveals that two thirds of the participants noted accelerations in their IT departments. Almost a quarter indicated that they would envision reducing office capacities in the future, since remote work has been considered a success. Nonetheless, more than a third underlined that this direction had increased the occurrence of cyber attacks.
