Trade unions and the horesca sector are getting nervous and increasing pressure on the government.
According to horesca president Alain Rix (La Fédération Nationale des Hôteliers, Restaurateurs et Cafetiers du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg), the proposed date of 1 June for a reopening of restaurants at least, still remains to be confirmed.
The sector demands that restaurants be reopened alongside bars and cafés.
Rix stated that the breaking point for the sector had been reached. He vigorously insists on Monday, 25 May as reopening day for the horeca sector so that businesses may profit from Pentecost weekend.
