The government council approved the decision to extend the application period for electric mobility subsidies on 29 November.

The government's signal with the move is to continue promoting electric mobility and 'active mobility' in order to continue to push transport in a fuel-free direction.

The strategy continuing electric mobility subsidies belongs to the energy and climate plan valid for 2021 to 2030. The government's global aim is to reduce greenhouse gases by 55% for 2030.

In 2020, residents will continue to be able to request subsidies, namely €5,000 for 100% electric cars and vans, €2,500 for hybrid vehicles, and a maximum of €500 for other electric vehicles such as scooters and motorbikes. The extension for applications will last another year.
