If it isn't possible to avoid hitting a wild animal, the main focus should be braking without putting yourself or others in danger.
Luxembourg has a large and diverse wildlife population - it is inevitable that sometimes, wild animals cause accidents on the roads.
In the event of such a collision, it is not advised to move the animal off the road yourself. Instead, secure the area and stay away from the animal. The police should be notified on 113.
The police will then send either a forest warden or an official from the roads administration to investigate. They will also organise an attestation for insurance companies, in the event that the car is damaged.
