Rescue serviced reported they had received 100 emergency calls due to Wednesday's extreme temperatures.
Rescue service personnel were called out on 60 different occasions on Wednesday to assist people suffering from the extreme heat.
Interventions in fires and accidents across the country
A technical installation caught fire on Rue de Trêves in Findel, early on Thursday morning at 1.50am. Fire fighters from Sandweiler and Luxembourg City put the fire out, with no one injured.
In Niederkorn, on Rue St. Pierre, there was a fire caused by a deep fryer at around 8pm. Sanem and Differdange fire services attended the incident, in which no one was hurt.
A car caught fire on the A13 motorway in the direction of Pétange on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred at 6.40pm, with Schengen and Mondorf-les-Bains fire fighters on the scene, ensuring there was only material damage.
A motorist was injured shortly after 5pm near Windhof (direction of Garnich) as the car collided with a tree. First responders attended the accident, as well as Steinfort and Koerich emergency services.
