On Wednesday (22 May) evening the switch tower at Kleinbettingen was evacuated due to an unstable silo.

Police closed off the site and evacuated all personnel. This caused the train system to be suspended for a couple of hours. A bus replacement service was introduced.

CFL confirmed this morning that the situation has since normalised, with trains following their usual timetables today.

A small part of the parking area remains closed. The silo in question was completely emptied after a crack was discovered, however it no longer poses a threat.

The situation will be evaluated throughout the day on Thursday 23 May.
