On 20 March 2018 a jewellery shop in Luxembourg City was burgled, with the culprits found near Lyon by the next day.
The accused hail from the area around Lyon and are therefore being sentenced in the local courts, said the Luxembourg public prosecution office on Friday.
The case in question relates to the robbery of a watch shop in Luxembourg City last March. During the investigation it was discovered that the culprits had been intercepted the following day in the region of Lyon in France, originating from the area and with previous convictions.
On 18 March 2019 the Luxembourg public prosecutor's office denounced the crime committed in the Luxembourg jurisdiction, with the suspects now being tried in Lyon for the acts committed.
