Following the social elections of 12 March, 2400 businesses have passed on their results to Luxembourg's Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM) this Friday morning. 140 businesses are yet to follow suit.

ITM also announced that they would check each case on an individual basis. The same applies to 830 organisations that did not hold elections.

As a reminder, on 12 March, 3,800 businesses were required to have staff delegates stand in elections. The two largest trade unions in the Grand Duchy, the OGBL and the LCGB, had 5,120 and 3,750 candidates standing in all the social elections respectively.

2,964 businesses registered their candidates electronically. Digitalization has helped to speed up the evaluation process, ITM explained. The first results were already published later on the same day.
