London City Airport has had major issues due to heavy fog since Friday evening. Some Luxembourg-bound and originating flights were affected by these adverse weather conditions but everything has since returned to normal.

Many of the flights coming into or leaving London City Airport were cancelled on Friday evening and Saturday, including several Luxair flights.

The reason for these disruptions was the heavy fog that was plaguing the east of the capital. Most of the Luxair flights were diverted to London Southend airport and from there, Luxair tried to ensure that their passengers managed to get to their desired end destination.

On Sunday, Luxair said that the situation is slowly returning to normal and that all Luxair passengers currently still stuck in London would be able to return to Luxembourg.

Flights from Luxembourg to London City airport will resume around noon.
